Two of your former University of Ottawa students who remember you with great fondness and gratitude.
Two students met at the University of Ottawa in first year Sciences and became friends. In the 2nd month of school, the male friend put a Post-It note on her door that read "You can pull but you can't push on a string". It was a quotation from their Physics Professor Dr. Cyril Benson, who they both very much liked. The note made her laugh at his shared wit, and by year-end the students were dating. They are still together almost 30 years later. Also that first year, she sought advice from Dr. Benson about taking the summer Physics course; he wisely counseled that it was over 30 chapters of Physics in 3 or so months, and to be prepared for it. She listened, she was prepared, and she did achieve all her career goals, and so much more. Her husband did too. Thank you Dr. Benson, for all you gave us - you are strongly and fondly remembered!
